1. Approval of the minutes of the Transportation Advisory Board meeting held on July 21, 2009. (Approved)

2. Items from citizens present. (None)

3. Hear staff update on the status of the alignment study for the Power Road Improvements from Pecos Road to the Loop 202 (Santan) Freeway. (Report reviewed by Board)

4. Discuss and take action on staff recommendation to approve the installation of speed cushions on Jensen Street between Power Road and Ivyglen Street. (Approved – Board voted 8-1)

5. Discuss and take action on staff recommendation to approve the installation of speed cushions on Hermosa Vista Drive between 64^th Street and Power Road. (Failed – Board voted 3-6)

6. Discuss and take action on staff recommendation to approve the installation of speed cushions on Portobello Avenue between Los Altos and Dobson Road. (Approved – Board voted 9-0)

7. Hear a presentation on the Downtown Vision and Concept Plan for Mesa. (Report reviewed by Board)

8. Discuss and take action on staff recommendation to approve the alignment for the Southern Avenue and Mesa Drive Intersection Improvements. (Approved – Board voted 9-0)

9. Discuss and take action on staff recommendation to approve the alignment and direct staff to proceed with detailed design for the Broadway Road Improvements from 70^th Street to Hawes Road. (Approved – Board voted 9-0)

Informational Update on Recent Council Action:

None

Informational Update on Recent Parking Prohibitions:

Approved on July 16, 2009 – insufficient roadway width to accommodate travel lanes and on street parking.

• On the south side of Hampton Avenue from 48th Street to Racine (rescind) (west of Higley Road and south of Southern Avenue, Council District 6).

• On the south side of Hampton Avenue from 48^th Street to a point 40 feet east of Racine (new) (west of Higley Road and south of Southern Avenue, Council District 6).
