    1. Review items on the agenda for the January 15, 2009 regular Planning & Zoning hearing.

The items on the January 15, 2009, agenda were discussed. No formal action was taken.

    2. Hear an update on progress made on revisions to the following cases:

GPMinor08-11 (District 6) 8260 East Baseline Road, Z08-62 (District 6) 8260 East Baseline Road, and Z08-47 (District 6) The 8200 to 8500 blocks of East baseline Road.

Susan Demmitt stated they had met with the applicants for the adjacent property and worked through a revised concept. She also stated they would be applying for a General Plan amendment based on Board comments at the October Planning and Zoning meeting. She anticipated they would be making a revised application on the February submittal deadline. She also stated they would be meeting with John Wesley and Planning staff, also with Economic Development staff prior to the application submittal.

Vice Chair Frank Mizner confirmed the case would need to be continued again at the February Planning and Zoning Board meeting.

    3. Planning Director’s Updates:

John Wesley explained that case Z08-60 for lot F & G at the Superstition Springs Automall was not going forward at this time. Case Z08-67 the Banner Baywood case was approved by City Council January 12, 2009. He also informed the Board that discussion of combining Boards was taking place in the City Manager/Mayor’s offices. Regarding changing the meetings to Wednesday rather than Thursday, that would not be happening until March at the earliest, so the February meeting would be Thursday, February 19th.

The items on the January 15, 2009, agenda were discussed. No formal action was taken.

The meeting adjourned at 7:54 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,
