Meeting Minutes

The Parks and Recreation Dogs in Parks Subcommittee of the City of Mesa met at the Parks and Recreation office at 200 S. Center Street, Building 1, Mesa, on August 13, 2009.

Connie Gullatt-Whiteman called the meeting to order at 7:37 a.m.

Discuss method to gather citizen information/input regarding dogs in parks

The subcommittee met to discuss and finalize the method to be used to gather citizen input regarding dogs in city parks. After much discussion the questions to be asked were finalized by the subcommittee with input received from the Management Performance Accountability (MPA) office. A link on the Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities internet page will be available for use as a means of accepting citizen input, along with inserts in utility bills, information on Channel 11, Mesa’s Facebook and Twitter pages, and any other sources made available by the Public Information Office (PIO), beginning in September 2009.

An update will be given to the full Parks Board at the September 9, 2009 meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:07 a.m.
