1. Chair’s Call To Order

Chair Jim LeCheminant called the September 1, 2009 meeting of the Economic Development Advisory Board to order at 7:37 A.M. at the Phoenix/Mesa Gateway Airport Administration Offices, 5835 S. Sossaman Road, Mesa, Arizona 85212-0919.

2. Approval of Minutes from August 4, 2009 board meeting

Chair LeCheminant called for a motion to approve the minutes from the meeting held on August 4, 2009.

MOTION: Terry Benelli moved that the minutes from August 4, 2009 be approved as written.

SECOND: Jo Wilson

DECISION: Passed unanimously.

3. Phoenix/Mesa Gateway Region Update and Tour

Mr. Lynn Kusy, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Executive Director, welcomed the Economic Development Advisory Board and guests. He provided a brief history of the airport and instructions for the tour.

The tour included CERI, the Chandler Gilbert Community College (CGCC) campus, Arizona State University Polytechnic campus (ASU Poly), the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and the Airport Terminal.

4. Other Business

Chair LeCheminant reminded the EDAB members of the next scheduled meeting on October 6, 2009 to be held at the City of Mesa Council Chambers, Lower Level, 57 E. 1^st Street, Mesa, Arizona 85201.

5. Adjournment

Chair LeCheminant adjourned the meeting at 9:51 a.m.
